Dr. Richard Jones

For more than three decades Dr. Richard J. Jones has practiced medicine in Bellingham. Dr. Jones earned his Medical Degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School and did his General Surgery and Thoracic and Cardiovascular residencies at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals.

Dr. Jones moved to the Northwest with his family in 1973 to start private practice. In 2005 he decided to limit his practice to the treatment of venous disease. To date, Dr. Jones has successfully performed vein closure procedures on hundreds of patients. He continues to attend national conferences to stay current with the continuing advances in medical technology.

Dr. Orville K. VanderGriend

Dr. Orville K. VanderGriend was born and raised in the Northwest and has been practicing in Bellingham for three decades. Dr. VanderGriend earned his Medical Degree in 1967 from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. From there Dr. VanderGriend returned to Washington State and received his residency for general surgery at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington and completed in 1974.

Dr. VanderGriend retired from general surgery in 2005 and had joined Northwest Vein Center in 2010. In addition to working at Northwest Vein Center, Dr. Vandergriend also is involved part-time with Peace Health Medical Group's Wound Healing Center.
